Imagine for a moment a movie that combines the most inspiring and intriguing elements found in such great films as, "The Shawshank Redemption", "The Green Mile" and "Cool Hand Luke". Take out the gratuitous vulgarity. Now, sprinkle in some heart, soul and originality. Now, you have the striking new screenplay "Ripple Effect" from the fresh new voices of writers/directors Rob Diamond and Adam Taylor.

Prison dramas have always caught the eye of the public. They have proven themselves worthy by becoming some of the most beloved films in cinematic history. Everybody loves a story about the triumph of spirit and the power of the human heart to overcome adversity. In any shape or form, we as human beings thrive on cheering for the under dog who rises from the ashes of circumstance and, against all odds, prevails. It gives us hope in our own lives.

The screenplay for "Ripple Effect" alone has spent three years in development. Carefully honed, the strength of the film is the story--a characteristic that is essential to every great film. Set in the late 1950's, this Americana, slice-of-life film engulfs us in the sweeter mood of the era. While not ignoring the darker realities of life, thought provoking topics are handled delicately--through artful interpretation, rather than shock value.

"Ripple Effect" is much more than just another prison drama. What sets this film apart is that the heart of the film is a tale, which follows the actions and repercussions of one man, Leo Tide--how his father's life choices haunt him--and how the love for his son saves him. It encompasses a tender love story between our misguided hero and the daughter of a small town judge. And finally, we experience the strength and beauty of an undying friendship found in the hearts of two unlikely souls. The story development continues outside the prison walls, with its unique characters and mystical ambiance that combine for a gripping plot with plenty of thought provoking twists and turns. The script's foundation was intentionally built on the simple and universal truths of love, hope, faith and forgiveness; something that we feel the world can use a lot more of.
